SOCIAL MEDIA
As Lead Intern for the Gettysburg College Communications & Marketing Office, I had the unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects for the college’s various social media platforms—from planning ideas and creating content, to writing compelling captions and sharing posts across several accounts, tailored to different audiences. With the goal of increasing the college’s visibility and maintaining its reputation in the digital realm, I contributed to numerous social campaigns, crafted videos, and covered live campus events. #HUMANSOFGETTYSBURG
My senior year, I had the privilege of leading the Humans of Gettysburg campaign, which is a two-year series taking inspiration from Humans of New York. The goal of the campaign is to honor and celebrate individuals in our campus community, ranging from students and faculty, to staff and (sneak peek) alumni! It was inspiring to share the stories of these amazing people and the great work that they do. View some of the pieces below that have been published on the college's Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and website.
VIDEOS
When creating videos for the college’s TikTok and Instagram accounts, I always took a strategic, holistic approach, capturing key moments across campus, while keeping up with relevant trends to resonate with audiences and maximize engagement. In covering live campus events on the college’s Instagram and Facebook accounts, I aimed to foster a sense of connection and excitement with our audiences. When creating the initial communications plans, I ensured to identify and capture all significant aspects of an event, including key speakers and anticipated candid moments. While actively covering an event, I made sure to adapt to its flow to capture real-time, authentic moments as they unfolded. Below are two of the many events that I covered!
